The Philadelphia Zoo employs full-time and part-time seasonal employees beginning as early as March through varying times in or around October. The Zoo is open seven days a week; so seasonal employees have to be flexible to work a schedule that will include weekends, evenings and/or holidays.

Under the supervision of the department manager or Lead Groundskeeper, the Gardener is responsible for maintaining the Zoo’s grounds, gardens and landscapes. Performs skilled and routine gardening duties. Routinely operates self-propelled equipment for landscape preparation, mulching and moving plants and debris. May provide training and supervision to other employees, interns or volunteers.
Garden Services / Housekeeping

The Guest Relations Team Member will perform all vital functions of the Guest Relations Department, including but not limited to: admissions, plaza greeter, membership sales, parking and attraction attendant.
Public Safety Officer
The Seasonal Public Safety Officer will maintain a safe environment for Zoo guests, employees, volunteers, concessionaires and others as well as a secure environment for animals and all other assets of the Philadelphia Zoo.
