Browse Assistant

Duties

Under the direction of the browse coordinator will assist with browse identification, collection and processing. The Assistant schedule is Monday thru Friday, the time worked will vary. Start and finish dates dependent on the assistants college schedule. Any time off during the summer must be coordinated with the browse coordinator; all days off, regardless of purpose are unpaid.

Requirements

This is a two-year commitment. The browse assistant will be trained through the summer to take over the following summer as the browse coordinator. For this reason, only students entering their sophomore or junior year of college will be considered, in the following fields; Animal Science, Wildlife Biology, Horticulture, or a closely related field. A GPA of 3.0 or better is preferred and a valid Driver’s License is required.

Availability

Must be able to work up to 20 hours per week for 13 weeks. Please only apply if you are interested in working both years for the Philadelphia Zoo.
