Night Flight
Duties
Night Flight Programs invite visitors to hike the Zoo in the dark, meet an animal keeper and more! Educators perform all vital functions of educational interpretation, including presenting educational programs for scouts, families and other groups. Educators will provide information, in accordance with the Zoos goals, that will exceed the expectations of visitors by providing friendly, outgoing, and mannerly services. Educators are the ambassadors of the Zoos mission: conservation, education, science and recreation.
Requirements

Ability to work accurately and cheerfully under pressure.

Ability to learn detailed information about the Zoos animal collection and exhibits.

Excellent customer service skills; ability to communicate effectively with visitors, supervisors and co-workers.

Professional appearance and manner.

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Excellent presentation skills, ability to lead games and hands-on activities, ability to adapt to audiences of different ages and sizes.

Ability to adapt to changes in schedule and daily assigned responsibilities
Availability

As a Night Flight Educator you are responsible for working a minimum of two shifts a month. In addition, you may be asked to support Scout Programs.

Shifts for Night Flight run from 6pm-12:00am on Friday and Saturday nights.
