Philadelphia Zoo's Watering Hole Opens April 15

PHILADELPHIA, PA-- (March 29, 2017) — Philadelphia Zoo’s open-air beer garden, sponsored by Victory Brewing Company, will open for the season on Saturday April 15th.  Guests can kick back, have a snack and enjoy a delicious libation at this popular thirst-quenching refreshment spot located near Eagle’s Roost eatery in the shady south end of the Zoo. The Watering Hole features outdoor seating, a frequently-changing beer menu with craft and domestic beers, a delightful selection of wines and amazing light fare--this lovely outdoor retreat might be the best alfresco hangout in Philadelphia.
“We are excited to offer our guests an amazing new setting to enjoy with the family while visiting the Zoo,” says Philadelphia Zoo’s Chief Marketing Officer, Amy Shearer. “We have consistently heard from our visitors and members that having additional beverage choices to enjoy with lunch or during their visit are a welcomed, so we provided  more options at The Watering Hole as well as at other popular lunch destinations at the Zoo. Refreshing drinks, delicious light fare and an enjoyable atmosphere make this “the” spot to be this summer.”

Beverages at The Watering Hole are served in clear, eco-friendly cups with prices ranging from $6.00 to $9.00 inclusive of taxes. The Watering Hole was designed in partnership with Groundswell Design Group, creators of some of the most popular beer gardens in Philadelphia.

Entrance to The Watering Hole is included in Zoo admission- hours of operation are:

Mid-April through late May: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day: Monday through Sunday
Post Labor Day through October: Saturday, Sunday
