What is Father’s Day BBQ?

Father’s Day BBQ at the Philadelphia Zoo is a ticketed event that includes daytime admission to the Zoo. (For this reason, member tickets are discounted). With the purchase of event tickets, you and your family will enjoy an unlimited brunch buffet in a private dining area.
    

When is Father’s Day BBQ?

This event takes place on Sunday, June 17, 2018.
Timed tickets are required and guests can select from the following time slots: 11:00 a.m., 1:00p.m. and 3:00 p.m..

Where is Father’s Day BBQ?

This event will be held in a private outdoor pavilion. Guests should dress accordingly for the weather.

Who can attend Father’s Day BBQ?

Anyone! Tickets are required for all guests, even those under 2. Non-member tickets include admission to the Zoo. Members may purchase discounted BBQ tickets and must present a valid membership card and photo I.D. when entering.

Can members bring guests to Father’s Day BBQ?

Members can purchase BBQ tickets for guests at the membership price, as long as the guest’s admission is covered under the membership household’s guest privileges. The member must personally purchase all guest tickets and enter the Zoo with his or her guests. A valid membership card and photo I.D. is required at entry. Non-member tickets for guests not covered by membership are also available.

Why do I need to register a child under 2?

The Zoo will provide high chairs, and we are asking guests to park their stroller outside of the dining area to maximize space. By registering children under 2, you will help us ensure there are enough high chairs and space for everyone.

Will walk-ins be accepted?

Advance registration is required, and availability is limited. Register as early as possible to secure your spots!

What if I need to change my reservation times or cancel?

Due to the limited seating arrangements and strong demand, reservations for this event cannot be modified after purchase. Event tickets are non-refundable and must be used the day of event.

Is there reserved seating?

There is no reserved seating, however the food and beverage team will seat you at specific tables based on guest flow and table availability. Parties of eight or less will be sharing the table with guests from other reservations. Parties that want to sit together at the same table must make a single reservation. Maximum of 10 guests can be accommodated at a table. We will have enough seating for everyone. We encourage you to mingle and meet other guests.

How will the food be served?

The food is buffet style. A menu will be posted on the Zoo’s website prior to the BBQ. Food and beverage service ends one hour after event start time. Please arrive on time for your reservation.

What is the dress code?

This is a casual event. We’re sure you’ll want to check out the Zoo after the BBQ, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes!

What happens if it rains?

This is a rain or shine event and will still take place in the event of rain. For this reason, all tickets are non-refundable; guests should plan accordingly for inclement weather.
