AFZ Camera Club
Our Camera Club is for adult Zoo members with an interest in photography; members range from amateurs to professionals, there is no required level or skill or equipment. The club meets on a regular basis to share their photos and develop their techniques. Additionally, there are regularly scheduled photo shoots in the Zoo for active club members that often include early access to exhibits that you may not have otherwise. Members contribute their photos to the Zoo for us to use in our marketing materials including print materials, signage and social media. In addition, members serve a vital role in documenting zoo activities, such as special visits and events.
Meetings are held at 7 pm on alternating first Mondays and Wednesdays of the month from September through June, and the photo shoots are typically held on the weekends throughout the year. Club members must attend at least five meetings per year, maintain a Zoo Membership and pay annual dues. Currently, dues are $30 for the first year and $20 each year thereafter.
If you are interested in joining the AFZ Camera Club, please submit an application.
Please be aware that all zoo volunteers, once accepted into the program, must submit a cleared Pennsylvania State Criminal Check and Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance completed within the last year. Volunteers whose permanent residence is outside Pennsylvania will also need to complete an FBI clearance including fingerprinting.
