Community Access Program
Philadelphia Zoo is pleased to provide Title I public and charter schools (with 50% or more of the students receiving free or reduced-priced lunches) with free admission to the Zoo from September 1, 2016 through April 28, 2017. Registration is now closed for 2015-16 school year field trips. Registration for the 2016-2017 school year will open in June 2016. If you already have a trip scheduled and need assistance, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How to Apply
Step 1: Confirm you school is on the approved list of Title I schools. If your school is not on the approved list, you will need to attach a letter, signed by your principal, on school letterhead, confirming you eligibility.
Step 2: Confirm the availability of the proposed date of your trip on the calendar below. Dates in green are open, those in yellow are nearly full, and those in red are full and no longer accepting applications.
Very important: Make sure you have confirmed the availability of your date with your school district, bus company, etc. prior to registering, as there is a $25 rescheduling fee and we may not be able to accommodate your rescheduled dates.
Consider scheduling your trip Monday through Wednesday, as they often have the most availability.
Step 3: Complete the application for the Community Access Program.
Step 4: You will receive confirmation email upon completing the application confirming your application has been received. Within one week, you will receive email confirmation of your scheduled field trip day. If you do not receive confirmation of your date within one week, please contact email@example.com immediately.
