Reports to Curator or Assistant Curator. Works as assigned within animal areas, under oversight of area Lead Keeper. Responsible for all aspects of daily animal care, including but not limited to cleaning, feeding, inspecting/observing specimens, maintaining exhibits, implementing veterinary, nutrition and enrichment programs, and record-keeping. Acquires and maintains appropriate knowledge about collection, Zoo policies and procedures, and facilities.
Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology, the Data Analyst will help support a growing business intelligence platform at the Philadelphia Zoo. Major responsibilities include gathering business requirements, report writing and analysis, and design and management of third-party systems integration.
Director of Marketing
Reporting into the Chief Marketing Officer, the focus of the Director of Marketing role is to grow Zoo attendance and membership while overseeing creative and advertising development, promotional activities and membership strategy.
Under the supervision of the department manager or Lead Groundskeeper, the Gardener is responsible for maintaining the Zoo’s grounds, gardens and landscapes. Performs skilled and routine gardening duties. Routinely operates self-propelled equipment for landscape preparation, mulching and moving plants and debris.
Guest Relations Supervisor, Parking
Reporting to the Assistant Guest Relations Manager for Parking, this position supports daily operations of the Parking Department including guest, special events, bus and employee parking. Directs the activities of the attendants to ensure safe, secure and efficient parking operation while providing high quality customer service.
Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology the IT Technician is responsible for providing Tier II support, system development and maintenance for all hardware / software, telecommunication systems, Microsoft servers, Cisco switches, workstations and wired / wireless networking environments.
Manager, Guest Relations (Admissions)
This position plans, executes, and evaluates the work of the guest relations team members to ensure delivery of high quality products and customer service that enhances the guest’s visits, and supports the Philadelphia Zoo’s mission. Serves as a dynamic leader and directly supervises up to 2 supervisor and 40 seasonal staff. Reports to Director, Guest Relations.
