Kids Care

Walking through the halls of Longstreth Elementary School the distant sound of crickets draws you towards Chuck Lafferty's classroom, where many species of plants and animals are thriving. If he is able to realize his dream of creating a green corridor consisting of a schoolyard habitat in every School District of Philadelphia school, the sound of crickets will not only be coming from Mr. Lafferty's kindergarten classroom, but from the streets of the city, along with the sound of children playing in the dirt.
