Service Animals

Service animals are welcome at the Zoo. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, a service animal is defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. Pets are not permitted. Service dogs must be properly leashed or harnessed. Be aware that geese, peafowl, squirrels, and other local wildlife roam freely throughout the Zoo. Clean up and dispose of any waste your dog may leave. Look for any indications that a Zoo animals may be upset, exhibiting behaviors like excessive flying, running or vocalizing. If you notice any of these behaviors, please step away from the distressed animal. Some areas may require a Zoo staff escort (McNeil Avian Center, KidZooU, Wings of Asia).

Parking and Entrances

Designated accessible parking spaces are located at Tiger Parking Lot and the Zoo Garage.

Wheelchair and Electronic Vehicle Rental

Wheelchairs and electronic vehicles are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Please ask your turnstile agent for assistance. Please note the weight limit is 325lbs. We are unable to reserve wheelchairs or scooters in advance.

Wheelchair: $8.00
Electric scooter: $30.00

Personal Care Attendants

If a ticket holder or member cardholder is attending the Zoo with a government-funded Personal Care Attendant (PCA), his or her PCA can receive a complimentary companion ticket. An advance online reservation is required for each visitor. Please email [email protected] before reserving tickets and we will help with your reservation.
