Add an exciting new experience to your next group visit! Explore the ocean's depths, soar above the plains of Africa, and trek deep into the forest—all from the comfort of Philadelphia Zoo! The Wild Explorer Virtual Reality Experience is a 360° visual experience with a motion seat, an immersive VR headset, and audio. The group rate is $6.00 per person with a valid admission ticket.

Add an educational and fun guided tour to your next field trip! Choose from three topics: Habitats, Ecosystems, and the Environment; Endangered Species and Conservation; and Amazing Animal Adaptations. Recommended for grades 4-8. Bring your pack down for another season of sights, sounds, and surprises! See more than a million twinkling lights across 16 illuminated zones at our biggest and brightest holiday light show yet.

School Groups

Bring your lessons to life at our 42-acre living classroom! Spark your students’ curiosity and help them connect with the wonders of wildlife. A field trip to the Zoo is like no other, combining learning, fun, and the chance to get a little wild.

Availability: Spring, fall, and winter during our standard operating hours, Monday-Friday.
Group Rate: $15 per student ($12 per student between November 1st and February 28th), with 1 complimentary chaperone per 10 paid students. General group rate applies between April 12th and April 27th. Summer Camp rate applies between June 14th and September 7th.

Summer Camps

A day at the Zoo can create memories that last a lifetime! Have your campers spend a day in the Naturehood to connect with nature and wildlife.

Availability: Summer (June 14th – September 7th) during our standard operating hours, Monday-Friday.
Group Rate: $18.00 per camper, with 1 complimentary chaperone per 10 paid campers.

Scouts

Gather your troops! Discover and meet wildlife as you trek through our 42-acre living classroom. The Zoo offers a special guidebook for girl scouts and cub scouts upon request (digital version provided).

Group Rate: $18 per scout ($15 per scout between November 1st to February 28th), with 1 complimentary chaperone per 10 paid scouts.

General Groups

Neighbors of the Zoo either by way of residency, school enrollment, or groups leading mission-aligned projects in our nearby neighborhood are welcomed and encouraged to consider the Zoo as an extension of their home and classroom through our Community Access Program.
