The Zoo is Thursday to Monday from 9:30 AM to 3 PM.

The Zoo is closed for daytime visits on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & New Year’s Eve. We look forward to seeing you soon!

LumiNature is open on select nights from 5—9 PM through January 3.

Directions

Philadelphia Zoo is located at the corner of 34th Street and Girard Avenue in Philadelphia’s historic Fairmount Park. The Zoo is just two miles from downtown Philadelphia and public transportation is available using SEPTA, which runs bus and trolley routes to the Zoo area. Public Transportation is available on SEPTA via the G (formerly known as the Route 15 trolley) and the nearby Route 38 bus and the Philadelphia PHLASH, a seasonal transit service that runs weekend service (Friday-Sunday) in the spring and fall; and daily service in the summer and holiday seasons. Parking

Per vehicle: $19

Parking is free for members (subject to availability; once car per membership per visit). Parking is available at the Zoo Garage at 35th St & Girard Ave, Tiger Parking Lot, and Zoological Drive. Additional lots on Girard Ave and 34th St may open. Handicapped accessible spots and spaces for vans are available in Tiger Lot and the Parking Garage. Parking can be pre-paid online with your ticket purchase or purchased at self-service kiosks inside the Zoo entrance.
