Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get tickets?

- General admission tickets must be pre-purchased in advance online.

- Availability for reservations is limited for members and general admission guests, and we strongly encourage making reservations prior to your visit date. Please check back often as additional ticket inventory will be released daily.

- Tickets for guests ages 2+ will be $20, and parking is $17 per vehicle. Children under age 2 are free but must have a reserved ticket.

- Members must make advanced reservations online and may reserve one visit per membership at a time for up to the number of adults, children and guests covered by their membership.

- You will receive an email confirmation of your ticket reservation at the time of your purchase. You can use the “Manage My Visit” link in your confirmation email to make changes up until 11:59 p.m. the night before your scheduled visit. On the day of your visit, you will not be able to make any changes.

- On the day of your visit, you will receive an email and text that will prompt you to complete a health questionnaire to receive your tickets.

What if I'm a member?

- All members MUST reserve their tickets in advance online.

- Members can have one visit reserved at a time and can make another reservation after the original reservation has passed.

- Availability for reservations is limited. Thank you for your understanding as we work to safely monitor guest capacity. We will add more reservation availability frequently, so please check back often.

- Tickets for guests ages 2+ will be $20. Guest parking is $17 per vehicle and FREE for members. Children under age 2 are free but must have a reserved ticket.

- Members must make advance reservations online and may reserve one visit per membership at a time for up to the number of adults, children and guests covered by their membership.

- All general members are eligible for an extension to compensate for the number of days lost on their membership during our 111-day closure.

What will guests see that is new because of updated safety protocols?

- Everyone must pre-purchase advance timed tickets for general and member admission.Tickets will not be available for purchase onsite.

- A reduced capacity, with ticket sales limited to 50% of typical Zoo capacity.

- The installation of touchless toilets, faucets, paper towel and soap dispensers.

- The installation of hand sanitizing stations throughout the campus.

- More grab and go food selections and touchless transactions at food locations.

- Guests are welcome to bring their own food in the Zoo.

- Indoor animal exhibits as well as attractions including the carousel, Wildworks ropes course, SEPTA PZ Express, and Swan boats remain closed.

- “Clean Team” staffers are onsite to sanitize and clean all high touch areas throughout the day.

- New procedures that allow public safety officers to check bags without touching.

What are the guidelines regarding face masks?

Masks, cloth face coverings or face shields are required for guests ages 2+ due to a directive from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania based on current CDC guidelines.

What food locations will be open?

Will indoor animal exhibits and attractions be open?

Indoor animal exhibits as well as attractions and rides including the carousel, WildWorks ropes course, SEPTA PZ Express, and Swan boats remain closed.

I had general admission tickets prior to the Zoo's closure. What do I do?

If you already have an existing ticket, you will be able to exchange it for a reserved timed ticket online. Select “Non-Member” on the Reserve Tickets page, and click the link to apply an existing ticket to your reservation.
